I feel like I can touch the house next to mine if I stretch my hands standing beside my house.Īnd thanks so much for your encouragement! I feel so much better with support from people like you in this forum!

Can you tell me more about that?įor the cottage/craftsman style, I see more new homes are building similar to this style, but sometimes I don't like their color combinations/shape/the houses seem to be too packed together (cluster-style). Again, good luck!Ĭongratulations on your new house!!! I'm really happy for you!!!! And that's a really good deal!! Does that price include upgrades as well? Too bad Surpise is too far away for meĪbout signing contracts, how does that work? I thought you'd have to sign something before a house is built. There are lots of builders who build the cottage/craftsman style homes - they seem to be very popular in Az. Good luck with your house hunting! It's not an easy process but I'm sure you'll find exactly what you need/want! P.S. I want to see the home as it's being built. Won't be signing a contract until I actually move there. 2,000 sq ft, single-story home for $154,000 - can't beat that. I've decided on Taylor-Morrison in Suprise Farms.

I'm obsessed!!! Anyone knows if other places in Chandler/Gilbert have this style of houses too? I feel sorry for being so picky Lots of trees on two sides of the road (sorry for the dirty windshield ) They have cute mailbox in front of the house! (I haven't seen that in Chandler.) Thank you so much for your suggestion too!!!! I checked the Marley Park website and the place really looks nice! My husband works near Laveen but we're thinking about buying a home in Chandler/Gilbert as we know they have nice school districts (prepare for the future ) and he might be able to change his work location closer to Chandler.Īs we're first-time homebuyers, we don't really know anything about buying a house! All I know is from here (really great forum by the way! everyone's so nice), Internet research, and some of my friends.ītw, I finally know what the exterior I like is called They're cottage/craftsman style houses! I took a few pics when we drove to Citrus heights and you all may see how beautiful the houses are. The Phoenix metro is such a huge, sprawling area. I know it is on the opposite side of town as Gilbert, but I was unclear exactly what you meant by "Metro Phoenix" as a work location for your husband. I remember going through the models in Marley Park and really liked the homes there.

Hi! I know that Marley Park in Surprise has some Ashton Woods homes. We're also considering the Cove at Vincenz built by Standard Pacific (less expensive, bigger, and only positive comments were found from Standard Pacific), but the elevations are less to our liking (Just from pictures online, we haven't been to the site yet.)Īny comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!! It's a little small compared to others but I think it suits my hubby and me (and even a baby in the future). We're actually considering the 1-story Brighton (it is gorgeous outside!) due to our budget. Most of the time I see people saying good things about Ashton Woods (quality, design, good customer service) but I also see people saying bad things Moderator cut: snip. I would really like to know if Ashton Woods's homes there are of good quality and if the neighborhood is safe and friendly. We haven't seen the interior of the house though coz their models are closed. Anyone knows anything about the Citrus Heights homes built by Ashton Woods in Gilbert? After my hubby and I drove there today, I'm in love with the beautiful and almost vintage elevations (instead of the yellowish or brownish exterior like the desert all the time! So boring!), and the beautiful lake and spacious landscape there with lots of trees and grass (though the ranch near it seems a little smelly).
